Editing User Properties

To edit properties of a user:

In the Users page, in the list displayed under Search Results, click the name of the user you want to modify.

User properties include:

When you have finished viewing or modifying information for this user, take one of these steps:

User Information

This section of the Properties page displays information about the user.

You can edit the following information:

First Name. Enter the user’s first name.

Last Name. Enter the user’s last name.

Display Name. The display name is automatically generated from the First Name, Last Name. You may, if desired, edit the display name.

Login ID. Enter the user’s login ID.

Password. Enter the password for the user’s login ID.

Confirm Password. Enter the password a second time to confirm it.

Description. Enter a description of the user.

Department. Enter the name of the department to which the user belongs.

Role. Select the user’s role from the drop-down list. Options available are:

Non Administrator, Organization Administrator, Provider Administrator.

Job Title. Enter the user’s job title.

Global Address Book. Check the box to add this user to the Global Address Book.

Preferred Language. Select the preferred language. English is the default language.

Options available are: English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Contact Information

This section of the Properties page displays contact information for the user.

You can edit the following information:

Postal Address. Enter the postal address details such as Street, City, Postal Code, State, Post Office Box number.

Telephone. Enter the telephone number.

Fax. Enter the Fax number.

Service Package Details

This section of the Properties page displays the service packages assigned to the user.

You can assign multiple service packages to a user.

In this section, you can assign or remove service packages for the user.

Assign a Service Package

When you assign service packages to a user, the new packages will replace any service packages currently assigned to that user.

Take these steps:

  1. Click Assign Service Package.
  2. The Assign Service Packages wizard appears.

In the Assign Service Packages wizard, the following panels appear:

Remove a Service Package

Take these steps:

  1. Click the box to left of each service package name you want to remove.
  2. Click Remove Service Package.
  3. Click OK to confirm the removal or Cancel to cancel the operation.
  4. Click Save to remove the service packages from that user.

Mail Service Details

This section of the Properties page displays mail service information for the user.

You can edit the following information:

Mail Host. Displays the mail host name. You cannot modify this value.

Mail Address. Enter the user’s email address. The email address consists of the login ID followed by a domain name selected from the drop down list.

For example, john.doe@siroemail.com.

Mail Aliases. Enter the user’s email aliases separated by a comma.

Mail Delivery Option

Billing ID. Enter the billing ID for the user.

Mail Service Status. Select the mail service status. The options available are: Active Inactive, Deleted, Hold.

Calendar Service Details

This section of the Properties page displays mail service information for the user.

You can edit the following information:

Calendar Host. This field displays the name of the Calendar host where the Calendar resource is created. You cannot change this value.

Email Address. The email address will be used to notify the user of Calendar events.

If the selected service package has mail service, this field does not appear. (This field only appears if the selected service package does not have mail service.)

To enter an email address, take these steps:

  1. Enter the simple (nonqualified) email address that will be used to notify the user of Calendar events.
  2. From the drop-down list, choose a primary or alternate domain name that fully qualifies the email address.

Default Calendar. Enter the Calendar name to be used by default for this user.

Owned Calendars. This field displays the names of the Calendars owned by this user. You cannot edit this field.

Subscribed Calendars. This field displays the names of the Calendars this user subscribes to. You cannot edit this field.

Time Zone. From the upper drop-down list, choose one of the following geographical regions:

North & South America
Europe & Africa
Asia & Pacific Rim

From the lower drop-down list, choose one of the displayed GMT time zones for the user’s calendar.
